We have been challenged to increase our adoption numbers by 300 throughout August-October by the ASPCA's $100k Challenge. To reach out goal we are implementing new programs and promotions outlined below in addition the many adoption efforts we already have in place.
How Can You Help?
Of course, you can adopt. But even if you are not ready to bring home a furry friend we know you know someone who is, tell them about the LA/SPCA's incredible adoptables.
We are always in need of dedicated animal advocates to help us with many projects, fill out an application today.

Our New Programs and Promotions:
Fast Track Adoption Pet Placement: a new take on the LA/SPCA foster program placing adoptable dogs with foster families for only two weeks with tips on how to find the perfect home for the dog. Foster families will also be empowered to complete the adoption process. For more information or to become a Fast Track Foster Family contact Meg: meg@la-spca.org.
Extended Hours: each month the Animal Care and Rescue Center will remain open until 7pm on Thursdays.
Free Adult Cats: all cats over 1 year of age will be available for no adoption fee through October 31. A fee of $15 will be required to cover the rabies tag, license, and micro-chipping. Cat adoptions also include spay/neuter surgery, all vaccinations, one bag of Science Diet pet food, de-worming, one month supply of feline heartworm preventative.
