Our friend Zak George is new to New Orleans and is in town offering his new brand of beginner dog training classes! You might remember that  Zak has had two TV shows. "SuperFetch" on Animal Planet (currently available on Netflix), and the BBC's "Who Let the Dogs Out?" airing exclusively in the UK. Make sure to mention that you heard about the class from the Louisiana SPCA and Zak is giving 25% ($37.50) of the price of the class back to LA-SPCA!

Classes will include basic manners as well as how to deal with unwanted behaviors like chewing, potty training, play biting, jumping, digging and more. Students will also learn how to teach their dogs the fundamental skills like sit, leave something alone when you ask, look at you when you ask, the two potentially LIFE-SAVING behaviors of stay, come when called and more.

Zak is also known for using only positive dog training. He shows you how to teach your dog WITHOUT the use of "tools" like prong collars and choke chains.

He's happy to answer any of your dog training questions too! If you want details on how to sign up for class, or if you have questions about the class, here's his email: ZakGeorge@me.com

The 5 week class is only $150 and your satisfaction is guaranteed. http://www.facebook.com/TheZakGeorge

Rally-O (Six-Week Session)

If you have completed an Intermediate Class and are wondering what to do next...try Rally-O!!

Rally-O is an opportunity for you and your dog to continue the "fun" in working as a team!  You will learn to negotiate a course while performing the tasks that each sign directs you and your dog to complete.  It's FUN and rewarding and can be the 1st step towards competing with your dog or just keeping those obedience skills sharpened.

AKC Rally is the new dog sport that is taking the nation by storm.  Rally offers both the dogs and handlers an experience that is fun and engergizing.  The canine team moves at their own pace, very similar to rally-style auto racing.  Rally was designed with the traditional pet owner in mind, but can still be very challenging for those who enjoy higher levels of competition.
