Celebrities Speak Out for Howling Success

Our Celebrity Chairs want YOU to attend our largest fundraiser, Howling Success. Click here to watch Bryan Batt & Christian LeBlanc’s message and here to see First Lady Supriya Jindal speak out for our animals. On November 6th, Howling Success will transform the River City Ballroom at Mardi Gras World East Bank into a 1940’s nightclub complete with cigarette girls, vintage cars, and a big band! Other festivities at the event include a Diamond Dig sponsored by Robert Normann Jewelers and the presentation of the Dorothy Dorsett Brown Humanitarian Award to CNN’s Anderson Cooper 360º.

We would be honored if you would join our event as one of the limited number of patrons or patron table sponsors at the 2010 Howling Success. This unique fundraiser produces 10% of our operating budget and is a great tribute to the more than 11,000 homeless and companion animals that come through our doors every year. CEO's Corner

Dear Friends,

Fall is a wonderful time to celebrate our relationship with our furred friends, which we can do in many ways. We can rejuvenate the human/animal bond by spending fun afternoons with them in the park, on the beach, or in the woods, taking advantage of the cooler weather. We can also support them in other ways but supporting non-profit animal welfare organizations that promote the humane care and treatment of our four legged friends.

Fall also brings about many events in honor of companion animals. This year, we have many ways to celebrate. We are hosting New Orleans on Tap, our first annual beer tasting, at New Orleans City Park on October 9th. Come sample beers, listen to live music, and enjoy the beautiful weather with your furred friends. For those of you who enjoy a fun night out, we hope you’ll join us at the 32nd Annual Howling Success featuring this year’s theme, a 1940’s tribute. Howling Success is our annual signature fundraiser to support the care of our animals.

For those who are far rather than near and would still like to contribute to the daily care of the animals we shelter, you can do so in many ways. Whether making a donation online, doing so via text messaging or signing up for the new Louisiana SPCA iPhone app, your involvement can improve the lives of animals in a significant way.

Have a wonderful Fall season and thank you for all you do four our four-legged friends.

Woof and Meow,

Ana Zorrilla
Chief Executive Officer
