Meet David: David is a 110lb, gorgeous, goofy, German shepherd mix. Quite a “contagious combination,” says his human. He was half his weight wandering the city streets when the LA/SPCA rescued him. A longtime LA/SPCA volunteer adopted him after he was diagnosed with the canine flu.
Meet Stanley: This handsome guy, who entered the LA/SPCA as a stray was adopted in March 2008. Stanley’s tail wags so hard it has enough strength to dent walls. But despite his size and energy he's a gentle giant, who has taken a shine to the two guinea pigs his family brought home in August 2009, protecting them and loving them with lots of doggie kisses.
Meet Chester: Chester has become a bit of a jester in his new forever home. His new family, is over the top in love with his playful ways. Chester has proven to be quite the character, staying up late, jumping into showers, stealing socks, and being an overall rambunctious kitten, but this family wouldn’t have it any other way.
Meet Tallulah Marie: Tallulah was adopted in 2004 by a family with seven other four-legged 'kids.' Intelligent, independent, loving and full of attitude, Tallulah is an inspiring canine citizen too, visiting elderly residents at the John Hainkel Home, as well as young patients at Children’s Hospital.
Meet True Love: This golden retriever was brought into her human’s life through True Love. After 16 years of sharing their companionship with cats, True Love's family decided a dog was the right species to add to their family. Their true love came in the form of a golden retriever puppy. 5 years later they adore their True Love, and she adores them.
Meet Princess: Princess was just the cutest kitten hanging out at the LA/SPCA Animal Rescue and Care Center the day we took photos. I am sure she is the pride and joy of her adoptive family. She also represents the hundreds of kittens we see annually, especially in the spring/summer months. These kittens deserve a forever home of their own.
