Chaps and Bosco We adopted Chaps from the SPCA in 1996 and we found our little Bosco wandering on the streets in 1998. We gave them not just a place to live, but a home. I remember Chaps when we first brought him home. He was a wild and crazy little thing. At first I did not know how to take him because he was our first dog, but over the years he totally became one of the family and definitely stole our hearts. He was with us through a lot of changes in our lives. We watched him grow from a little pup into a mellow old "man" (that's what I would call him). In 2003 Chaps was diagnosed with diabetes. We were able to extend his life for another 18 months, but last week his weakened body gave way. It totally broke our hearts and our hearts are still hurting. The hurt is all so familiar just like when we lost Bosco back in 2001. Bosco was taken suddenly but a moving car. Just like Chaps, Bosco stole our hearts. I can still remember his little dancing around. Both deaths were different, but the hurt is pretty much the same. They both gave us so much love, laughter and life and in turn we gave it back to them. Yes, it hurts and people try to tell you not to get another dog again, but that would be like saying don't ever LOVE again. We still have our other two dogs (Hannah & Sophie) and we love them with all our hearts too. I am happy God blessed us with our dogs. I try to smile on the time we have/had with them and not cry so much on the loss. We wish we can keep them forever, but we know the only way we can is in our hearts. Always and forever you guys are in our hearts.
- Love you both always, Mom and Dad
CLOSURE
Oh faithful masters don’t
cry; for the time we spent together was so awesome no one person could deny
Yes, our lives may have seemed so short to you; but in all they were lived each day through and through
Whether we lived one day or one hundred years; you both gave all of your hearts, love, laughter and at times even your tears
We knew all of your love and that was all that mattered; don't ever second guess yourselves because if you do, your hearts will never heal and remain shattered
Dry up those eyes and smile 24/7 because remember "All Dogs Go to Heaven"
- Love, Chaps and Bosco
