Evan, my best friend

Evan had been in life for 3 and 1/2 years. He was born August 22, 2004.

That October my father passed away of a heart attack. If Evan had not been there I couldn't have made it through those months after he passed away. Evan was my best friend. My diary... We had a bond no man could break.. I once called him my first born. my baby.. you could just pick him up and he'd purred and purred.. even the afternoon we took him to the vet.. he purred as the vet told me and my granny that his legs couldn't be fixed... someone had shot him he his front legs. I knew what I had to do. I had to send him to heaven..

Rest in peace love. I'll never forget you. I love you and never forget that.. my dear one. You were my best friend and will always has a spot in my heart... watch over me and Devan.. he never got to meet you. I love you Evan. I'm sorry I couldn't go with you.

She Stood There

She stood there.
Taking in his scent for the last time.
Soaking up the warmth of the last embrace.
Her fragile heart squashed by reality.
Her heart nearly jumping out of her chest.
Trying to grasp onto something.
Anything.
He dozed off.
She stood there.
Tears drops falling.
Beading off of her jacket.
She stood there.
Tears rolling.
Tears streaming.
She stood there.
Unable to move.
Soaked in tears.
Soaked in sorrow.
Another piece of her heart gone.
She stood there.
